Hey there, I'm Michael
Andrew, the bi-coastal band leader of Swingerhead in Orlando,
FL and The Coconut Club Orchestra in Beverly Hills, CA. We're proud
to headline for top nightclubs, supper clubs, music festivals, casinos,
corporate events, gala opening, charity fundraisers, celebrity parties,
TV and radio shows all over the United States. We play the great music
from the Great American Songbook, the most requested swingin' standards
of last century and my own collection of popular swing, jump and lounge

- The Big Bass Violin called Betsy - Another one of the original
Swingerheads back on the cross country bandstand.
Pat Gullotta - Trombone. (from
Elkart, Indiana) Pat grew up in the Los Angeles area and studied music
at Cal Arts. He came to Florida in 1981 as a staff musician for Walt
Disney World lending his talents to many show productions and recordings.
He continues to freelance in the recording industry playing movie
scores, jazz, pop and rock. He has appeared with Wayne Newton, Rosemary
Clooney, Gladys Knight and Clark Terry and is currently performing
with Michael Andrew and Swingerhead in Florida. Pat has also performed
at jazz festivals around the world with The Black Dog Jazz Band.
Doug Spoonamore - Saxes. Doug
joins the Florida bandstand with his strong style and great soloing.
Dalton Hagler
- Tenor Sax. Dalton has performed at The Monterey Jazz and Montreau
Jazz festivals. He has toured and recorded with the trumpet legend,
Al Hirt. Dalton has also performed with Kenny Rogers, Kim Carnes and
The Mills Brothers.
Dean-oh
Mongerio - Saxes - That wild and crazy original
Swingerhead has swum back to shore to sit in with us again after some
time on the Carnival Cruise Lines in the Caribbean. Dean studied
saxophone with jazz great, Bunky Green at the University of North
Florida. You can see him strut his stuff and blinding smile in the
photo --->
Paul Parker - Drums. Swingin in
that backbeat. Paul studied at the American Conservatory of Music,
then continued to freelance in Chicago and play shows throughout the
Midwest. In 1986 Paul moved to Central Florida and became an active
performer and educator in the regional music scene. Endorsed by Trueline
drumsticks.

THE
COCONUT CLUB ORCHESTRA
- Beverly Hills, California
Michael Andrew
and some of his coast-to-coast Swingerheads have performed
as special guests inside Merv Griffin's
Coconut Club since October '98. While ringing in
New Years Eve '99, legendary host, Merv
Griffin asked Michael Andrew to be his resident band inside
his Beverly Hilton resort in Beverly Hills, California every
Saturday night. This grand hotel, 'in the center of it all'
is the home of the celebrity and glamour filled 'Coconut Club'.
This group of Michael's is now officially known as 'Michael
Andrew and The Coconut Club Orchestra' - they're
still making a splash on the West Coast with Merv Griffin
and at other special high-profile events.

Rick Shaw - Bass player extraordinairre,
holds a Masters of Music degree from Eastman School of Music. I play
both electric and acoustic basses. I've played for The Lettermen,
Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, and Johnny Mathis. I first played with
Michael Andrew at the Sapphire Supper Club in Orlando on April 26,
1996 (don't ask how I remember!) and played on Michael's CD in 1997
- an original Swingerhead, indeed!
Derf Reflaw
- bangin on that Percussion with his classic derby hat. Derf
is a master drummer, flutist, saxophonist and composer from Chicago.
He joined the Paraohs in 1968 and has proceeded to play with countless
legendary acts, including Ramsey Lewis, Eddie Harris, Earth, Wind
and Fire, Herbie Hancock, Ahmad Jamal, Terry Collier, Jerry Butler,
The Ohio Players, Lionel Hampton, Jack McDuff, Aretha Franklin and
Donny Hathaway.

Guitar - from the Blues Jumpers, Flyin Neutrinos and Royal Crown Revue
fame.

MERV GRIFFIN,
SINGER, ENTERTAINER, LEGENDARY HOST - Merv
Griffin has welcomed Michael Andrew and Swingerhead into his 'homes'
around the nation by performing with them to properly open his fine
venues with grand celebrations. We are honored to perform with Merv
at the La Quinta Arts Festival every year with his friends such as Jack
Jones, Carol Channing, Michael Feinstein, Suzanne Somers, Norm Crosby
and Mort Lindsey. We also perform at exclusive events for The
Griffin Group and the high class 'old Hollywood' audience.
ANTHONY COLE
- DRUMS -
Anthony is one of Michael's favorite barefoot drummers. Anthony
performs in Orlando weekly and internationally with the legenday, Sam
Rivers.

- BASS - the talented young son of Orlando's pianist, Michael

- BASS - this former Swingerhead
bass monster (striking a handsome pose below) is back up in New Yawk
City working on a lot of exciting projects. He will be making guest

SAXES - 'Snapper', a Swingerhead original, is playing in Orlando
with Ricky Sylvia and The Buzzcats these days.
BRUCE ESKOWITZ -
SAXES - Bruce is a top session
player and bandleader in LA. His concerts are some of the hottest in
the jazz scene today.
CHARLIE BERTINI -
TRUMPET - Charlie is one of the finest trumpet players
in the country. He's based in Orlando.

trumpeter in our Coconut Club Orchestra. She is a true diva and wows
the crowd every time with us and on her gigs in the LA area. She won
the Long Beach Female Jazz Singer contest.

From The Michael Andrew Retro Swing Band days, Gary is still hamming
it up in Otown band, 'Tremors'.

Jackie Jones is a world class jazz singer. Living and swinging
in Orlando.
JOHN KOZAN - TROMBONE - This exceptionally
talented fan of music is currently studying with the greats at The New
School in Manhattan. John has performed with Swingerhead from coast

TRUMPET - One of the original horns
of Tower of Power - and now an official member of The NBC Tonight Show
Band. Trombone Tim Keehn plays with Lee when they rock and roll with
GNR guitarist, Slash.

is the leader of Red
and the Red Hots (one of the hottest swing, jump-blues bands
in the country) has sat in with the band at The Coconut Club with
us. He is also a talented arranger and gifted song writer with an amazing

Rick, an original Swingerhead,
is still playing at Disney and around Otown.

- DRUMS
- That guy with the bowtie has
reformed his straight ahead jazz band, King 'Tet and is playing the
Orlando jazz circuit.
SARAH HAYES -
CHANTUESE - Orlando's retro songstress
/ character actress / diva, also known as Red Hot Kitty, makes time
to lend a tune in between her travels. She's an instant party with a
smile!
SCOTT WHITFIELD -
TROMBONE - Scott goes way
back with MA to his NY days at The Rainbow Room and The Manhattan Vocal
Project. Scott got hitched and moved to California this year! We wish
him well.
STEVE FALKNER -
TRUMPET - Steve AKA Lips
is still cattin around Otown blowin' his horn like no one else can with
'Tremors' and 'Bill Allred's Classic Jazz Band'.
RAY GELATO -
SINGER, SAX PLAYER, BAND LEADER - Known
for years in Europe as leader of England's
Ray Gelato Giants, Ray spent some time in warmer weather with us
in Orlando. Partnering with Michael Andrew, Ray utilized the Swingerhead
musicians to make a splash on the scene. Truly the international 'Sax
God.' Ray even performed at Paul and Heather McCartney's wedding reception
in June 2002!

TED KOOSHIAN -
PIANO - New York City, NY - Originally
from California, Ted is an accomplished musician in New York City. He
can be seen on Broadway performing in "Lion King" stage show
orchestra. He has also recently performed with acts such as Blood, Sweat
and Tears, Aretha Franklin and Chuck Berry. Ted has been an honorary
Swingerhead for years. He is a featured guest artist on ‘The Swingerhead
Christmas’ CD.
TERRY MYERS -
SAX / BANDLEADER - One of the great
jazz band leaders and players in Florida.
TONY BATTAGLIA
- GUITAR, BASS, VOCALS - Tony is one of the top producers
and players in the country. He producer the first Swingerhead album.
He is also a great songwriter, too. Yvan eht nioj.

SAX - Vince has been a Professor of Music at the Ohio
State University. He has produced and performed on 13 CDs under his
own name and been invol ved in 4 CD productions for other artists. Vince
has toured the world with major jazz artists and enjoys international
distribution by major record labels.
WARREN SAUER
- DRUMS - The king of backbeat
used to play with Esquivel back in the day.
